Read the odds
baj generally displays decimal odds. Decimal 3.00 means if you bet ৳200 and win, you get back ৳600 (৳400 profit + your original ৳200 stake). If you lose, ৳200 is gone. Decimal odds of 3.00 can also be written as fractional 2/1 or American +200 — all three represent the same bet.
Team A to win — stake ৳200. Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200. If you win, you get back ৳600 (৳400 profit + ৳200 stake). If you lose, ৳200 is gone.
Team B to win — Decimal 1.50 = Fractional 1/2 = American -200 (American minus odds indicate how much you need to stake to win ৳100). With a ৳200 stake, if you win you get back ৳300 (৳100 profit).
Bet slip — from single bet to multi bet
Adding one selection to the bet slip makes it a single bet. Adding multiple selections together creates a multi bet.
On the baj bet slip, clicking a selection adds it instantly. Once you enter the stake amount, the potential return is calculated automatically.
An example of a single bet in a limited-overs cricket match (where there is no draw): Team A at 1.80, Team B at 2.00. If you bet ৳500 on Team B and Team B wins, you get back ৳1,000 (৳500 profit); if Team A wins, ৳500 is gone. For more on cricket betting, see the cricket betting page.
In a multi bet with 3 selections — decimal 1.70, 1.80, and 1.90 — the combined odds are 1.70 × 1.80 × 1.90 = 5.81 (rounded). So with a ৳100 bet, if all selections win you get back ৳581. However, if any one selection loses, the full ৳100 is gone.

Sports Betting

Open and settled bets — how to view your bet history
After placing a bet on baj, you can view all your bet details in the "Bet History" or "My Bets" section of your account. This section is divided into two parts:
Open Bets
Bets that are still running or where the result has not yet come in. You can see the bet date, selection, stake, and potential return here.
Settled Bets
Bets where the result has come in — both wins and losses appear here. Winnings from successful bets are added to your balance automatically.
Cash Out

How does a betting exchange work?
A betting exchange has two roles — BACK and LAY. Say you BACK Team A at decimal 1.80 with ৳1,000. If Team A wins, you earn ৳800 profit before commission; if Team A does not win, you lose ৳1,000. On the other side, if you LAY (against ৳1,000 from a backer): if Team A does not win, you receive ৳1,000; if Team A wins, you pay out ৳800 (liability = ৳1,000 × 0.80).
